protection of their rights, irrespective
of their age, race and religious affiliation.
Providing psychological support to disabled
women to improve their quality of life and
assist their integration into society.
Organization
and its Mandate
The Disabled Women's Society of Azerbaijan
was founded in 1997 and registered in 1998.
It is engaged in solving the problems of
disabled women. The head office is in Baku
with branches in Sumgait, Sheki, Beilaqan,
Qakh, Ganja, Zardab, Barda, Nakhchivan,
and other regions of the Republic.The Disabled
Women's Society aims to protect the rights
of the more than 100 000 disabled women
living in Azerbaijan. To date, the society
has been supported by the following organisations:
OXFAM, Hayat, NGO Forum of the Republic,
SOROS, ISAR, IREX, and AED. |
